2012 Lewis Emery Treasure Hunt Date Announced

The date for the annual Lewis Emery Treasure Hunt–also known as the Lewis Family Treasure Hunt–around Hillsdale County has been announced. Once again, treasure seekers will gather at the Hillsdale County Fairgrounds on Saturday, October 20 at 6:00 for a night of fun. A typical hunt has about 100 carloads of contestants with over 400 participants.

Last year’s winners are sponsoring this year’s event. In 2011, the first clue required a CD player. Other clues required a smart phone to view a youtube video, flashlights, scissors and tape, pencils, erasers, and a general knowledge of history, trivia, and Hillsdale County. GPS and a full tank of gas were also necessities..

Some of my gang has left the area, so I am hoping that they will make it back for this event, or I will have to assemble a new team. Anyone interested?
