Benny Poole Plays Jazz at Johnny T’s Bistro

Benny Poole is a locally famous jazz musician who lives in nearby Jackson, Michigan.  Benny is a regular on the area restaurant circuit and was recently performing live at Johnny T’s Bistro in Hillsdale. He plays soft jazz–mostly on his saxophone. While I was there, some of the more popular tunes he played included Frank Sinatra’s “The Way You Look Tonight” and Lionel Richie’s “All Night Long”. His joy of playing is evident in his interaction with patrons. Just a few minutes in his presence makes it obvious why he is so popular around here.
