What is romance? What is romantic? These terms mean different things to different people. For some people, romance is dinner, flowers, and a night at home alone. For other people, romance is quiet time, away from the kids, far from home with the one you love. A romantic getaway could be one-on-one time with your lover on the golf course, in a restaurant, or in a nice room at a small town inn. Any combination of these things can be a romantic getaway. The Munro House Bed and Breakfast in Jonesville Michigan has many getaway packages that are romantic. Our most popular one is simply called the Romantic Getaway Package and includes flowers, chocolates, dinners, massages, and two nights bed and breakfast.
The romantic getaway starts with a choice of rooms. Choices may include a room with a fireplace or double Jacuzzi tub made for 2 adults. Couples who are away for romance enjoy the glow of the fire as a backdrop. The double Jacuzzi tubs are a prelude to love. Our in-room tubs are made for 2. Our "magic potion" fills the tub with bubbles when the jets are engaged. After the room is chosen, the rest of the package is in our hands.
Upon arrival, an itinerary is provided along with a selection of decadent chocolates and a dozen roses floral arrangement in a glass vase. A gift card is provided for dinner at one of our favorite local restaurants. Breakfast is included with an overnight stay. On the second day, a one hour massage for each person is scheduled in a private room in our house. After the one hour therapeutic massage, a dip in the tub and/or a nap is typical behavior after our licensed therapists put guests into a fine state of relaxation. The rest of the afternoon is the couple's choice--at the movies, at the antique malls, or in the room. A second gift card for dinner at another one of our favorite local restaurants is provided. A big breakfast is served the following morning.
Olivia's Chop House is our favorite restaurant and always our top choice for guests to enjoy on Tuesday through Saturday nights. It just happens to be just 2 blocks away--a short walk--and has food selections that are consistently very good and service that is consistently very good. With choices that include steaks, seafood, chicken, and pasta, there is a nice selection of food for a fine dining experience. Johnny T's Bistro is a 10-minute ride into Hillsdale. Their Italian Restaurant ambiance and menu with a wide variety makes it another great choice for dinner.
Premiere Theater has 7 screens in nearby Hillsdale that feature current movies. A nice selection of shows that generally includes action, adventure, and romance are typically playing on the big screen just 6 minutes away from Munro House. Dinner and a movie made for adults is an option many parents rarely get to experience. This is another opportunity to relax and spend time with your mate.
